Supermarket billing software, updated for GST 2.0
Billora is billing and stock software for supermarkets, kirana, fashion and electronics stores in Lucknow and across India: keyboard-first counters, UPI QR and split payments, receipts on the 0, 5, 18 and 40% slabs, and a back office for stock and day-end.
- New GST slabs: 0, 5, 18 and 40%
- Barcode, scale and keyboard billing
- UPI QR, card and split payments
Inside Billora POS
Screens from the live demo, on its sample data. Open the demo to try each one yourself.

The billing counter: a weighed onion line, a loyalty customer and the slab-wise GST breakup before payment.
The GST summary: rate-wise B2C sales and an HSN-wise table, laid out the way GSTR-1 asks for them.
The back office: today's sales against yesterday, margin, low stock and how customers paid.
Supermarket and kirana store billing software, built around the counter
Supermarket billing software gets judged at seven on a Saturday evening: a queue at every counter, a customer paying half in cash and half by UPI, and a kilo of onions to weigh. If the cashier reaches for the mouse at each step, the queue grows. In Billora, scanning, weighing, search, discounts, customer lookup and payment all run from the keyboard.
It also follows current tax law. From 22 September 2025, GST on most goods moved to 5, 18 and 40%, alongside nil-rated items; the 12% and 28% rates went for almost all goods, and compensation cess was removed for most. Billora's item master, receipts and GST summary use those slabs. Garments follow the per-piece rule, 5% up to ₹2,500 and 18% above, so a markdown can move an item across the line.
The demo is a city supermarket with grocery, dairy, personal care, household, apparel and mobile accessories on one item master, deliberately. A kirana store needs loose atta and dal by weight and fast repeat bills. A garment shop needs the apparel rule and clean returns. An accessories counter needs barcodes on everything. One system covers all three, with one back office for stock, purchases, day-end, loyalty and reports.
Billora is the right starting point when your store looks like the demo: many items, barcodes, loose goods and more than one counter. Our office is in Lucknow, so stores here can see it at their own counter. If you need retail POS software built from scratch, or a POS for a restaurant with tables and kitchen tickets, that is our POS and billing software service.
Who it is for
- Supermarkets and mini-marts with two or more counters
- Kirana and general stores selling loose goods by weight
- Garment shops and fashion stores
- Mobile accessory and electronics counters
- Owners who want stock and cash checked daily, not at year-end
What Billora POS does
Barcode billing, keyboard first
Scan an EAN barcode, or type 3*barcode to bill three at once. F2 searches by name, brand, HSN or barcode; F4 holds a bill, F6 recalls it and F9 takes payment.
Weighing-scale billing for loose items
Loose rice, dal, atta and vegetables open a weighing dialog priced per kilo, with quick weights and a read-scale button. The demo simulates the scale; in your store we connect the counter scale or bill from label-scale barcodes.
GST 2.0 slabs on every bill
Every item carries an HSN code and its slab: 0, 5, 18 or 40%. The bill shows a slab-wise CGST and SGST breakup before payment, and garments switch between 5% and 18% per piece on their own.
UPI QR, card and split payments
UPI shows a dynamic QR for the exact amount, readable by any UPI app. Card payments record the network, last four digits and approval code. A bill can be split across cash, UPI and card, with change worked out.
Thermal receipts and WhatsApp bills
An 80 mm tax invoice with GSTIN, FSSAI number, HSN-wise GST summary, savings against MRP and loyalty balance. The bill can also go out on WhatsApp: simulated in the demo, sent through a WhatsApp Business provider when live.
Discounts, overrides and loyalty
Item and bill discounts by percentage or amount. Price overrides need a supervisor PIN, are logged and cannot exceed MRP. Customers are found by mobile number, earn points on each bill and redeem them as rupees off.
Stock, purchases and reorder
Stock falls with every bill and rises with every supplier invoice you enter. Low and out-of-stock items are flagged, reorder quantities suggested, and damage, expiry or shrinkage adjustments recorded with a reason.
Day-end, returns and cashier audit
Close a shift by counting the drawer against expected cash, with X and Z reports. Returns refund the price actually paid and put stock back. A cashier scorecard shows discounts, overrides and refunds per person.
GST and sales reports for your CA
Rate-wise B2C sales, an HSN-wise summary and documents issued, laid out the way GSTR-1 asks for them, plus sales by category, payment mode and cashier, and top and slow movers. Every report exports to CSV.
The demo runs on sample data saved in your browser, so you can bill, refund and close a shift without affecting anything. A deployed Billora runs on a store server or in the cloud, with staff logins, roles and backups.

How we set up Billora POS for you
- 01
Counter survey
We watch a busy hour, then list your counters, scanners, printers, scales and network. Hardware that works is kept; anything that doesn't is specified before you buy, not after.
- 02
Item master and tax check
Items come in with barcodes, MRP, price, cost and HSN. We map each to its GST rate and send your CA a short list of anything to confirm.
- 03
Parallel run, then switch-over
Billora runs on one counter beside your old system for a few days, so prices and receipts are proven on real customers. Cashiers are trained in a quiet slot, then the other counters move together.
- 04
Support after go-live
Fixes, rate updates, new reports and hardware help under a support agreement. In Lucknow we come to the store; elsewhere support is remote, with visits when a counter needs one.
What we need from you
- Item list from Excel or your current software, with barcodes, MRP and HSN codes
- GSTIN, FSSAI licence number if you sell food, and your receipt format
- Number of counters, and models of scanners, printers, scales and card terminals
- Supplier list and opening stock, or a date for a stock count
- Loyalty rules, discount limits and who may approve overrides
None of it has to be tidy. Discovering that your data is messier than expected is part of the job, not a reason to delay starting.
Billora POS — questions buyers ask
Including what it costs, what it does not do, and who should buy something else.
Will billing stop if the internet goes down?
The browser demo can't show this, as it has no server to lose. For a live store, offline billing is a setup option we recommend wherever a counter cannot stop: each counter bills against a local database, then syncs with the back office when the connection returns. We scope it to your counters and network.
Does it work with our barcode scanner, printer and weighing scale?
Most USB and Bluetooth scanners work as they are, because they type into the scan box. Receipts are laid out for 80 mm thermal printers. For loose goods we connect a counter scale that sends weight to the PC, or bill from labels printed by a label scale. We confirm models at the store visit.
Can several counters bill at once, and can we use a tablet?
Yes. The demo has three counters reporting into one back office, with sales, cash and discounts tracked per counter and cashier. Live, each counter is a PC on the store network sharing one item master and stock. The billing screen also adapts to a tablet, and owners can check the back office from a phone browser.
Is it GST billing software for a retail shop, ready for GST 2.0?
Yes. Each receipt is a tax invoice with your GSTIN, HSN codes and CGST and SGST by rate, on the structure in force since 22 September 2025, and reports give rate-wise and HSN-wise summaries for GSTR-1. Compensation cess is gone for most goods; tobacco products, if you sell them, are set up with your CA. B2B e-invoicing above the notified threshold can be added.
What does it cost?
It depends on how many counters you run, the hardware you already have, how much the item list needs cleaning, and extras such as a second store, Tally export or WhatsApp bills. Hardware is separate if you need it. We quote after a store visit or a short call, once we have seen your counter.
Can we import our item list from Excel or Tally?
Yes. Send an Excel sheet, or an export from your current billing software or Tally, with names, barcodes, MRP, selling price, cost and HSN codes. We remove duplicates and fill missing HSN codes with you before import. Customer lists with mobile numbers and points balances can come across too, so regulars keep what they have earned.
Can you customise it, and who supports it after go-live?
Yes. Your store's name, logo, invoice series and receipt layout replace Billora's, and we add what your store needs, such as wholesale rates or buy-two-get-one schemes. Our office is in Lucknow, so stores here get installation, training and support visits in person. Stores elsewhere in Uttar Pradesh and India get remote setup with visits for go-live, then phone and remote support.
Who should not buy Billora?
If you run one small counter, bill a few dozen times a day and are happy with a phone billing app, Billora is more than you need. It is not a restaurant POS either: there are no tables or kitchen tickets. It is supermarket billing software for stores with volume: several counters, thousands of items, loose goods and an owner who checks stock and cash daily.
