By ten in the morning, a polyclinic in Indira Nagar or Aliganj has a full waiting area, a receptionist writing tokens into a register, and patients asking how long it will be. Some booked by phone, some walked in, and a doctor who started late puts everyone behind. MediSlot is doctor appointment booking software built around each doctor’s OPD sessions. Patients search by specialty, symptom, language or fee, and book an in-clinic or video slot for themselves or a family member, paying online or at the clinic. Each booking gets a token. From an hour before the slot, the patient’s phone shows the live queue: the token being served, their position and an estimated wait.
Inside the clinic, the same records drive three screens. Reception checks patients in, adds walk-ins and collects fees on a queue board for each doctor, while a waiting-room TV shows the token being called. Doctors record vitals and write an e-prescription from templates and quick-add medicines, with a warning if one clashes with a recorded allergy. Signing it completes the visit and puts the prescription in the patient’s app.
MediSlot works as polyclinic management software as well as for a single doctor’s practice; the demo is a fictional ten-doctor polyclinic with eight specialties. It runs on sample data in your browser, with the clock moved to a busy late-morning OPD when the real one is quiet. Consultations are billed as GST-exempt healthcare services. The version we deploy runs on a server with backups, separate logins and roles for reception and doctors, and your own doctors, timings and letterhead.

What MediSlot does
Online appointment booking for clinic OPD slots
Slots come from each doctor’s sessions, slot length and leave. Patients filter by specialty, language, fee or video, book for a family member, and pay by UPI or card, or at the clinic.
Live token tracking on the patient’s phone
From an hour before the slot, the patient sees the token now serving, their position and an estimated wait, and can tap “I’ve arrived” to check in or reschedule from the same screen.
OPD token management system for reception
A queue board per doctor with waiting, in-consultation and completed columns. Reception checks patients in, adds walk-ins with the next token and a printed slip, collects fees, marks no-shows and calls the next patient.

Vitals with normal-range flags, past visits, specialty templates and quick-add medicines with dose, frequency and duration, plus tests, advice and follow-up. A clashing allergy raises a warning, and the signed prescription prints on your letterhead or downloads as a PDF.
Patient records and visit history
Search by name, mobile number or patient ID. Each record holds allergies, blood group, every visit with its diagnosis and prescription, bills, and the last BP and weight. Families book under one mobile login.
Doctor schedules, fees and leave
Set each doctor’s OPD sessions, slot length and fees, and patient booking follows at once. Marking leave blocks that day’s slots and flags the patients already booked, so they can be asked to reschedule.
Billing, dues and day-end report
Consultation and procedure bills, collections by UPI, cash and card, dues and totals by doctor. Procedures ticked on the prescription reach reception as a bill; the day-end report prints and the day’s bills export to CSV.

How much does MediSlot cost?
We give a quote after a short call. The cost depends on the number of doctors and branches, how many logins you need, whether payments, SMS, WhatsApp and video consultation are connected, how much patient data comes across, changes to prescription or bill formats, and whether you want a branded app in the stores. Providers bill their own usage charges.
Do patients need to download an app?
No. Patients book, pay and follow their token on pages built for phones, opened from a link on WhatsApp, Google or your website. Reception works on a desktop and doctors on a laptop or tablet. A branded app for the Play Store and App Store is an optional extra, built and quoted separately.
Can we import our patient records from Excel or another clinic software?
Yes. Names, ages, mobile numbers, allergies and patient IDs come across from Excel or a CSV export. Older notes and prescriptions can come too if your system exports them usably; we check a sample and say what will transfer before quoting. If they will not map cleanly, keeping the old system read-only for a while is often sensible.
Does MediSlot send WhatsApp or SMS confirmations and reminders?
Booking confirmations go out by SMS and WhatsApp, and patients booked with a doctor who goes on leave are asked to reschedule. In the demo these messages are simulated. Live, we connect your WhatsApp Business API account and a DLT-registered SMS sender, and add a reminder a few hours before each appointment: the cheapest way to cut no-shows.
Do clinic bills need GST?
Healthcare services by a clinical establishment or a doctor are exempt from GST, so MediSlot issues consultation and procedure bills as bills of supply, with no tax. Some things a clinic sells may not count as healthcare services, such as pharmacy medicines or purely cosmetic treatments; for those, we set up the tax treatment your CA advises.
Can MediSlot replace a hospital management system, and who should not buy it?
No. MediSlot covers OPD work: appointments, tokens, consultations, prescriptions and OPD billing. It is not a hospital information system or HMIS: there are no admissions, beds, OT scheduling, pharmacy stock, lab reports or TPA claims, though a nursing home can run its OPD on it. A doctor seeing a dozen patients a day without a receptionist may not need it at all.
Can it carry our clinic’s name and our own prescription format?
Yes. Booking pages, prescriptions, bills and token slips carry your clinic’s name, logo, address and registration details, on your domain. Prescription layout, specialty templates, your doctors’ medicine list, procedure rates and slot lengths are set up for you. New screens, such as a dental chart or vaccination schedule, are quoted before we build them.
Do you set up clinic management software in Lucknow on site, and support clinics elsewhere in UP?
Yes. Our office is in Lucknow, so clinics here are set up on site, and reception and doctors are trained during a real OPD. Clinics elsewhere in Uttar Pradesh are configured remotely, with visits for training and go-live on dates agreed with you. Support afterwards is by phone and WhatsApp.
